Sculpture, set of 2 figures, dark and light

These 2 figures are made out of black clay, treated with lots of texture, a white slib and some drips of a seafoam glaze. The taller one is 6 inches high, 3" wide and 2" deep. The smaller on is 5"H x 2"w x 1"D. They sit easily on any flat surface.

In my work I'm interested in the balance between chaos and order, which is very visible in these pieces. On a deeper level it's about the order and principles that are formative to life, and the tension with the inevitable greater chaos that always threaten to disintegrate the temporary conditions that hold something together.
